Meet The Team
Founder Hector Elizondo
I am proud to serve as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professional at Legado Financial Group, with a career spanning over 26 years in the financial services industry. My role at Legado Financial Group primarily involves meeting with and advising clients, a responsibility I take on with great passion and dedication. My journey began with a BBA in Finance from Texas A&M University, after which I gained my initial industry experience at Ford Motor Credit.
I am motivated by the opportunity to make a positive impact on people's lives, understanding their behaviors and attitudes about money, and guiding them on a path to financial stability. I find great joy in demystifying financial planning for my clients, demonstrating that it doesn't have to be intimidating but can be an empowering and enlightening process.
One of my areas of focus is Behavioral Finance, particularly working with first-generation wealth. I believe that the greatest value I provide for my clients lies in my ability to listen empathetically, stay abreast of industry trends and tools, and foster long-lasting relationships.
Born and raised in Laredo, Texas, I now call Austin home. I live here with my wonderful wife, Amy, and our two sons, Trey and Drew. Outside of my professional life, my passions are my family, food, and travel. Most of my time is spent creating lifelong memories with my family, cooking together, and laughing heartily. We love exploring Austin's vibrant food scene and immersing ourselves in its rich musical and entertainment venues.
Hector Elizondo, Jr. has been awarded the title of Credentialed Holistic Financial Coach issued by Columbia University’s Coaching Center of Excellence in partnership with Equitable Advisors, LLC.
Planning Coordinator Diana Keyser
As the Planning Coordinator, my role is pivotal in supporting our financial advisors and assisting our clients in achieving their financial goals through strategic planning and advisory services. My professional journey spans over 20 years, beginning as a Financial Advisor at NBT Bank in Lake Placid, NY. Halfway through my career, I was seeking a warmer climate and transitioned to LPL Financial, working with Financial Advisors in Charlotte, NC. This allowed me to consult with advisors, sharing success strategies and helping them grow their practices by elevating the client experience.
What I find most fulfilling in my work is understanding client desires, sharing knowledge and creating a plan for them to succeed. I believe the greatest value I bring to my role is a people-centered approach, treating each individual as unique, with their own needs and aspirations. Financial plans are akin to jigsaw puzzles, with distinctive pieces fitting together to create a picture for each of our clients.
Originally from Saranac Lake, NY, I now reside in Mooresville, NC, with my husband, Emil and our dog Izzy Belle. Outside of my career, I enjoy spending time with family (especially my grandson), volunteering at Lake Norman Humane (helping dogs find their “fur”ever homes), being a leader through Women’s Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) International, travelling to new places, and embracing each day with purpose and fulfillment.

My journey in the financial services industry spans over 11 years, starting with my role as a Loan Officer at HomeTrust Mortgage. The aspect of my job that I find most fulfilling is planning events, celebrating milestones, and maintaining personal touches with our clients. I firmly believe that the greatest value I can provide to our clients is personalized care, treating each client as a unique individual with distinct needs and aspirations.
I'm a native of Corpus Christi, Texas, and I currently reside in Austin, Texas, with my husband and our two wonderful boys. Beyond my professional life, I'm an active member of the booster club at my boys' school and Austin Allies. These roles allow me to foster community spirit and also provide my family and me with valuable exposure to diverse situations, fostering appreciation for others. In my free time, I love to entertain, spend time with my family and friends, and engage in genuine and meaningful conversation.
client relations managerLarissa Mallen
As the Client Relations Manager at Legado Financial Group, I assist in servicing client accounts and policies, preparing and submitting relevant paperwork, and ensuring proper filing. I also help clients with any changes needed in their contracts or contact information and support our advisors in preparing for new meetings and client onboarding. I've been in the financial services industry for over seven years, and before joining Equitable Advisors, I worked at UBEO. What I enjoy most about my role is the relationships I've built with our clients over the years. These relationships make it easier and more rewarding to provide the service and assistance they need.
Interacting with people is a highlight of my daily work. Whether it's coworkers, clients, or service representatives I've worked with over the years, these interactions enrich my role and allow me to provide the best service possible. I believe my greatest value lies in my empathy, communication skills, and ability to understand and anticipate the needs of our clients. These qualities help me connect with clients on a deeper level and deliver services that meet their unique needs.
I'm a native of Austin, Texas, and I currently live in Buda, Texas, with my fiancé, Michael. I'm a twin, and my sister has four children who I enjoy spending a lot of time with. Outside of work, I'm a member of Promiseland Church, a welcoming community for believers of all backgrounds. In my free time, I enjoy reading, creating projects with scrapbooking supplies and paper products, and learning how to crochet. I also love attending local events with my family and thrifting. These activities allow me to express my creativity, connect with my community, and spend quality time with my loved ones.
